Introduction
Anhydrous taphole clay is manufactured from high-quality high-alumina chamotte, silicon carbide and clay as primary materials, incorporating special additives and composite binders. It is designed for large and medium-sized blast furnaces operating under high top pressure and high smelting intensity. The product features easy clay feeding, quick retreat after plugging, and easy drilling with a first-time opening rate exceeding 98%. It forms a protective mushroom-shaped build-up at the taphole that shields the hearth from erosion. Available in two grades—JH-TPN-1 and JH-TPN-2—to match different furnace volumes.
