KR Stirrer

Refractory stirrer designed for KR mechanical stirring desulfurization of hot metal. Manufactured from mullite and high-quality corundum with a reinforced steel structure. Immersed in ladles at 110–140 rpm, it creates a vortex for thorough mixing of desulfurizing agents. Grade JH-KR60 available.

    Introduction

    KR stirrers are critical consumable equipment for hot metal desulfurization pretreatment. The stirrer, with a cruciform refractory-lined impeller, is immersed into the ladle and rotates at 110–140 rpm, creating a powerful vortex that draws desulfurizing agents into the molten iron for optimal reaction. Grade JH-KR60 features Al₂O₃ ≥60%, SiC+C ≥5%, with bulk density ≥2.51 g/cm³ (110℃×24h) and cold crushing strength ≥25 MPa. The material is engineered to withstand severe thermal shock, slag penetration and mechanical wear.
