Introduction
This spray-applied lining repair technology enables rapid blast furnace relining without the extended downtime required for traditional brickwork. The material is applied using wet gunning equipment, forming a dense, high-strength lining that bonds securely to the existing furnace shell. Different grades are formulated for specific furnace zones—from the furnace top and stack down to the hearth—with tailored alumina and silicon carbide content to match varying service temperatures and wear conditions. The system has been successfully applied in numerous large blast furnaces across China.
