Pyrophyllite Brick

Semi-silica refractory bricks manufactured from natural pyrophyllite through high-pressure forming and high-temperature sintering. Grade JH-YLS available. Features low thermal conductivity, slight expansion at high temperatures, and good resistance to acid slag erosion. Suitable for ladle permanent linings and other thermal equipment.

    Introduction

    Pyrophyllite bricks are semi-silica refractory products manufactured from natural pyrophyllite ore through rationalized batching, high-pressure pressing and high-temperature sintering. The material exhibits low thermal conductivity, reducing heat loss and effectively decreasing ladle weight. At high temperatures, pyrophyllite bricks show slight expansion which improves the integrity and sealing of the lining. Grade JH-YLS features Al₂O₃ ≤23% and SiO₂ ≥73% with bulk density ≥2.1 g/cm³. Widely used for ladle permanent linings, working linings, casting ladles, coke ovens and furnace flues.
